I love every facet of this Bible verse!!
When we put on this truth, we are impenetrable, invincible, unconquerable! Any arrow or fiery dart the enemy hurls cannot defeat us. No worry or concern can overpower us. God is greater than any attacks that seek to disrupt or steal the joy that is rightfully ours as King's Kids!
Many of you know my hubby has battled Stage 4b cancer for the past six years. In the world of cancer diagnoses, his hits the top of the chart. Every year he's had at least one, sometimes two or three treatments or interventions. Yet to talk with him, you'd think he's as healthy as a horse. And happier than most!
People have asked how he’s remained joyful, undefeated, thankful.
Peace in the eye of the storm comes from knowing that you know that you know your anchor holds! That it’s not about the situation, it’s about the One who holds you - no matter the weather.
We've both learned to put on the truth that God hears our requests. He has the perfect answers, and they come in His perfect time.
We can choose to wait thankfully. We've laid our cares at Jesus' feet. We've dropped anchor and thrown off every weight that threatens to capsize our vessel. We've asked God for answers to questions we don't understand. While we wait for a break in the storm, wait for the sun that will shine, we thank Him - because He is. He is more than able. He controls the winds and the waves, and we are more precious to Him than all of His awesome creation.
Got a storm in your life?
Happiness is ... God. Our anchor in the storm.
I absolutely love this post!!!! All that you wrote is true, and though I've heard it many times before, when I read your post, your words felt weighty, and powerfully true. Thank you.
So very true, Erma! I know you and Burt have struggled through a long journey and your unwavering faith astounds me. Thank you for sharing!
