Tucker here, and boy do I have a tail to tell you!
First, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who responded to my sudden allergic reaction to food and incessant itching. You all had great suggestions, and I am grateful! Bert and Erma are slowly implementing dietary changes, including mixing coconut oil into my food. I still have some itching, but nothing like it had been. To which I say HALLELUJAH!!!
Next, let’s talk about warmth. I just have one question. WHY? The outside temperature is a perfect 10°, but my people aren’t out there. If I could tear off my coat and cuddle up with them, I’d have no complaints. They don’t seem to understand 68° is not okay with me. Newfies (newfoundland-poodle mix) or Newdles like me come with our own fur coats.
Yeah, I get it - they need warmth. To help me, they’ve plugged in a machine that sends smoke signals on occasion. A humidifier. Hopefully this will help lessen my dry skin too.
Then, I discovered something life-altering this week. Little frozen drops fell out of the sky, coating the grass, my chew toys, and me. Ahh, glorious snow! I ran, rolled, and laid in it. I even ate it (… not the yellow stuff). Life couldn’t get any better!
I tried to bring the snow into the house with me. I wedged the cold stuff between my toes, coated my tail with it, and clumped it onto my belly fur. When I shook and scattered snow all over the dining room, things got a little slippery.
I discovered something new about me last week. I can bark. LOUD! A stranger came to the door, and even though Bert said it was okay, I put in my two cents. Bert froze, the man left, and I got a treat. In the future, I might give my opinion more often.
Well, until next time, happy tails to you!
